LOWER SCHOOL

During this period, education involves not only self-expression and self-discovery, but rather the learning of facts: rules of phonics and spelling, rules of grammar, poems, the stories of history and literature, descriptions of plants and animals and the human body, the facts of mathematics – the list goes on. This information makes up the “grammar” stage  of learning – the basic building blocks of education.

Our Lower School includes grades K4-5th.

ABOUT THE PRINCIPAL

Cheri Meyer has taught, discipled, and blessed 1st graders and their families at Eastbrook Academy for 17 years. Now, in her role as Lower School Principal, Ms. Meyer shares her passion for Christian Education and excellent teaching practices with grades K4 through 5th grade. Cheri Meyer holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Russian from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master’s degree in Urban Education from Alverno College.
