What is the Annual Fund?
Donations to the Annual Fund go directly to support the Academy’s operating budget.  With the support of parents, grandparents, alumni, alumni parents, foundations, corporations, school board members and faculty, the “gap” between tuition revenues and balanced budget is filled.  This includes but is not limited to:

  • Provides an academically rigorous program
  • Promotes a Christ-centered community
  • Sustains small class sizes
  • Underwrites enrichment experiences like field trips
  • Offers a financial aid program to families in need
  • Maintains campus buildings and facilities including technology and curriculum purchases

What is the cost of educating a student at Eastbrook Academy?
The average cost to education one full-day student for the year is $7,433.  Tuition, both privately paid and those received through the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program, covers only about 85% of the total costs for an Eastbrook Academy education.

What is the goal of the Annual Fund?
Our most important goal is 100% participation by all school families at a level that is meaningful to them.

What is the “typical” gift made by school families?
Each family is asked to give to the best of their ability.  Gifts of all amounts are appreciated.

Are all families asked to participate?
Yes, all families from K4 through 12th grade are asked to support the Annual Fund.

Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes, all gifts are acknowledged as charitable contributions and 100% tax deductible.

Can I make a gift of stock to the Academy?
Gifts of stocks, bonds or other securities are welcomed by the school and may be given:

  • By transferring ownership of the stock to the school
  • By instructing a broker to sell the stock and sending the proceeds to the school either by check or electronic transfer

Please contact the Business Office for assistance with the gifts of securities.

Can the school qualify for matching gifts from my employer?
Definitely.  Typically your human resources department has a form for you to complete and send with your gift.  The Development Office is happy to help facilitate matching gifts.

Are school families asked to support other school funds?
Philanthropic support is critical to the financial well-being of Eastbrook Academy.  Families can give to the Annual Fund or designate gifts to specific efforts (i.e. athletics, fine arts, field trips, etc.) as well as to the capital needs of the school through gifts to the Endowment Fund.  In addition, the Academy hosts two events during year – Talent Show (October) and Dinner & Silent Auction (March) – that families are welcome to attend.

Are there other sources of support?
Yes, funds are also raised through the Summer School Program, admission application fees, the hot lunch program, the before and after care program and through investments from EBA’s endowment.

How are donations recognized?
All contributions are listed in the Annual Report, unless anonymity is requested.
